7 Hot Wedding Flower Trends in 2015

The month of June means we’re officially halfway through 2015. Being six months in to 2015 weddings, industry professionals are able to see a clear idea of what early emerging trends are here to stay throughout the rest of the year, and what carry-over trends from 2014 are likely to continue. Being the preeminent wedding florist in Atlanta, Peachtree Petals prides itself on keeping up to date with wedding trends so we are able to pass them on to brides looking for unique touches to add to their special day. Here are some of the leading trends for bridal flowers in 2015.

Wild Garden: Wild Garden is a carry-over trend from 2014’s obsession with the English gardens. Brides who favor this look prefer a messier, unstructured, more undone approach to the typical bridal bouquet and centerpieces. Instead of neatly trimmed stems of a particular variety of flower, this trend focuses on wild flowers with a just-out-of-the-garden look. Tulips, sweet peas, and garden roses are great options for spring and summer brides who like the Wild Garden trend, while autumn brides can opt for ferns, foxgloves, and blowsy roses.

Whimsical and vintage elements can be added to centerpieces like birdcages, moss, acorns, and clocks regardless of season to round out this look.

Romantic Luxe: Romantic Luxe is on the complete opposite end of the wedding floral spectrum from Wild Garden. This 2015 wedding trend is inspired by recent luxurious, A-List celebrity weddings. This look calls for full-on luxury, high flower content with little to no foliage and exposed stems. Romantic Luxe exudes romantic elegance relying on creamy, pastel colors and large blooms such as hydrangeas, hyacinths, and orchids. With A-list celebrity luxury inspiring this luxurious trend, it’s no surprise this trend comes at a cost. Flower expert Sabine of G. Lily recommends for brides interested in the Romantic Luxe trend, “This is one for brides with a big flower budget, otherwise you risk breaking the bank!”

Classic and Clean: Every year there seems to be some variety of the Classic and Clean wedding floral trend. Brides are drawn to the simple elegance this look exudes. This look is for a bride who prefers cleaner lines and a more put together appearance than that of Wild Garden, but of less ostentatious opulence than Romantic Luxe. We’re seeing a reemergence of a preference of white blooms paired with green foliage in bouquets such as Calla Lilies and roses. Brides in 2015 are opting for lots of stems of one variety in their bridal bouquets to elicit this Classic and Clean look while tapping into the realm of Romantic Luxe on a budget.

Pretty in Pastel: Pastel colors have been the dominant trend in the 2015 wedding season. From the bride’s bouquets to bridesmaids bouquets, to centerpieces, and hanging baskets, pastel colors are seen represented in every aspect of wedding flowers this year. The great thing about choosing pastel colors for wedding flowers is their ability to transcend any current wedding trend. They will fit well in a Wild Garden, Romantic Luxe, or Classic and Clean look while being extremely trendy and complimentary to any other colors chosen for the wedding. They are also perfect for spring and summer weddings, which of course are the height of the wedding season.

Making the most of your wedding florist consultation

Peachtree Petals wants to ensure you get exactly what you want and need on your big day. One way in which we make this happen is through our complimentary wedding consultations. When you come in for your consultation, a talented florist will review with you your vision, budget, time frame, and you'll leave with a price quote. In order to be sure this is the most effective consultation, we've compiled a list of ways for you to get the most out of your wedding consultation.

Schedule Consultation ASAP: A general rule for scheduling the consultation with a wedding florist is six months prior to the wedding date. This gives you ample time to finalize a plan with your florist and allow for your florist to acquire the particular blooms you desire. The advantage of Peachtree Petals is our ability to be flexible. We have free wedding consultations available nearly every day of the week at times that are convenient for you. We want to work with you to prepare for your special day no matter how near or far away your date is. By scheduling the consultation now, you can save yourself the headache of uncertainty when it comes to one of the most important aspects of your wedding.

Define Your Budget: It will be very helpful to the wedding florist if you have an idea of your wedding budget, particularly the allotment for flowers, at the time of the initial consultation. Many of our brides are unsure of how much to expect to pay for wedding flowers, and that’s okay, we’re here to help. Having even a ballpark figure for your overall day and an idea in mind of what types of arrangements you like will help your florist figure out a price point that makes you feel comfortable.

Make a List: Newly engaged brides-to-be are often stumped when it comes to what types of flowers to choose for their special day. This is where the expertise of the florists at Peachtree Petals stands out against other wedding florists. You will get the most out of your wedding consultation if you can make a list ahead of time of flowers you like and dislike, colors you like and dislike, and any pictures you have of arrangements and bouquets. List elements of your wedding that you already know for sure such as theme, location, season, the style of your wedding gown, etc. All of these things can guide our talented Atlanta wedding florists.

Our commitment to Atlanta wedding flowers is what has set us apart from other florists in the area. With prestigious accolades such as being named Atlanta’s Number One Wedding Florist by both WeddingWire.com and TheKnot.com, Peachtree Petals is the obvious choice for brides in the Atlanta metro area. Our FTD certified staff works tirelessly to fulfill the dreams of area brides like you. Visit our comprehensive website at www.peachtreepetals.com to view our detailed wedding portfolio and schedule your complimentary consultation.

Ways To Revamp Traditional Wedding Trends!

There's nothing like knowing just the right styles and trends that will make your wedding the most beautiful wedding ever. It is no surprise that as times change, the trends for weddings are changing as well. If you want what's in, you don't have to look any further. We have the wedding trends you will absolutely love because they aren't what we're use to, but better.

Trends are revamped each year and 2014 is no different. Here are a number of trends that have been revamped and have been pleasing brides everywhere:

Burlap With Lace Accents have been very popular to use on mason jars and other wedding decor. Yet, what happens is all weddings begin to look alike and no bride wants that to be the case. Stephanie Carmody of Tres Chic Events stated in a recent Bridal Guide article, "The problem we have with this particular trend is that all of these weddings start to look alike. As a result, we aren’t seeing the personalization or uniqueness of the couple shine through". A great way to revamp this trend is to replace using burlap and lace with chiffon or silk, which are more of a feminine fabric. An example of its' use would be to create a hand-died chiffon runner.

Having Photo Booths at weddings has become pretty trendy as well, yet still classic. "Couples seem to add these to their wedding as a default now, as if they have to have it because all of their friends did. At the end of the night, we pick up tons of photo strips left behind by guests who didn’t know what to do with them", stated Tracie Domino of Tracie Domino Events. It is a great idea to keep all of your wedding memories, however, some good revamping would help. Add to your photo booth specialized furniture, cool backdrops and unique props. Another revamp is to use the same things, yet have a video booth instead.

Candy Bars have been trendy also. A few years ago, newlyweds began trending from large wedding cakes as their sole dessert option. Candy displays were made and guests would receive them as favors as well. Yet now, the candy table needs revamping. "Everyone loves candy but the candy table concept has taken its last bow," said Robin Naluai at the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa. She went on to suggest his-and-her treat tables. "Maybe the groom is a sucker for a good PB&J with no crusts and a cold milk while the bride has always loved caramel apples," said Naluai.

Amid all the trends, there will always be something special about Wedding Flowers. They are stylish, beautiful and breathtaking all at the same time. They do so much for brides, especially complimenting flowers to the bridal party. No matter who you are or your culture, flowers will remain trendy and its' all up to you how use them for your wedding. Be creative and revamp how you incorporate your wedding with them, whether its' flower centerpieces, floral wedding decor around the altar, or above the door entries.

Of course, you will need a great Atlanta florist that can provide all of the best wedding flowers that you need. You don't have to look any further than Peachtree Petals. The florist is one of a kind and has been awarded for their stunning wedding floral arrangements for its' brides. Peachtree Petals loves its' brides and will be there to assist you in making your wedding as memorable as possible. Choosing The Right Wedding Planner!

Weddings are priceless and are one the most memorable events a bride will have in life. From the beautiful gown of the bride and brides' maids, to the wedding decor and celebratory reception, weddings will always be unforgettable. Every bride wants their wedding to be all that they've dreamed of and more. As beautiful as you desire your wedding to be, it will not just happen. It does have to be carefully planned out by the right wedding planner to make your big day a success.

Having a wedding planner is not necessarily needed. You can plan your own wedding and cut your wedding costs. However, with a wedding planner on your side, you are able to spend your time on the things which matter most. Here are some tips on finding the right wedding planner for you.

End-To-End Planning - You want to find a wedding planner that is able to plan your wedding from beginning to end. That wedding planner will catch your vision for your wedding and be able to execute it. This includes contracting vendors for wedding decor, wedding flowers, catering, music, and more. The wedding planner will handle all the details required to make the occasion perfect and seamless.

Event Design - The right wedding planner will be able to be creative and put together to overall look of the wedding. They will also meet your budget, timelines and handle all of the logistics involved. The wedding planner will design the invites, return gifts, and decor. If you have a wedding decoration theme, the right wedding planner should have experience creating various event designs and show you examples of their work.

Understanding - It is crucial to choose the right wedding planner that can understand what you want for your wedding. This is not something that requires a lot of back and forth explaining your wedding desire. The right wedding planner that understands you, will make the entire process a whole lot easier, especially when it comes to the final product of your wedding. You will have what you wanted and it comes out perfect, not what someone else expected.

Find A Fun One - You want a wedding planner that is going to be cheery and fun! There is already so much to accomplish with planning a wedding, which if not careful, can become very stressful. The right wedding planner is composed, fun, positive, helps you to relax, and will be like a best friend. They will help you to only enjoy the journey, as well as the final destination of your big wedding day. Have the right wedding planner is a must, yet also you can't forget the flowers. Every wedding must have the best wedding bouquets and wedding decor to make it perfect! Marketers Spending More On Paid Search Ads For Weddings!

Internet Retailer recently reported that more marketers are do more paid search spending for weddings. It appears as the economy slowly turns upward, more couples are doing more spending on their weddings. According to a 2011 survey, the average wedding budget at that time was $27,000. The Knot, a popular wedding website and e-retailer, conducted the survey. The wedding company also found that there are 2 million weddings performed per year in the US. The domestic wedding industry is worth more than $500 million per year as of today.

With these types of figures within the wedding industry, e-retailers are beginning to jump at the chance to make investments to steer many happy brides their way for business. Companies are spending money for wedding-related paid search campaigns to accomplish this. Paid research firm AdGooroo stated in the report that total pay-per-click spending on wedding related paid search ads have increased to $19 million in 2011, which is way up from $13.3 million a year before. These numbers jumped again to $22 million in 2012 as well.

In the first five months of this year, the wedding pay-per-click spending has decreased 21% compared to 2012. However, even with the decrease, the article stated it is likely to result in the shift in clicks from advertising spending and pay-per-click text ads to Google Product Listing Ads. Therefore, the end results are still promising for the year. The Knot stated December is the most popular month for engagements and January is the month for planning. Click-through rates will spike during this time for wedding advertisers' sites and has done so for the past four years in January AdGooroo said.

There are a number of items within the planning aspect of a wedding that couples search for. The number one item couples are searching the web for are wedding rings. 29.2% of all wedding -related paid search ads on Google AdWords was "engagement" or "wedding ring". The second one is the wedding dress or gown at 26.8%. Designer and brand searches ranked 9th on the paid search campaigns, such as David's Bridal, Martha Stewart and Vera Wang. This category also posted the highest click-through rate at 19%, in comparison to the overall 3.6% for all wedding paid search ads stated AdGooroo. The most expensive ads to perform by wedding companies is for wedding photography and videography.

Even with all of the attention the core items needed for a wedding receive, no wedding is complete without an exceptional florist. How To Save Money For Your Wedding!

Weddings are so beautiful to behold, and there is not a more wonderful time for a woman. Most people agree that the wedding is the day of the bride. It is hers to enjoy! She is walking out her dream and this event is to remember forever. With your wedding being so valuable, as the bride, you want to plan out every aspect of it to make sure you have the wedding you have always imagined. This does begin with what will dictate everything you decide regarding your wedding--your budget.

A bride is special and deserves the very best for her big day. Most times, the first notion that comes to our minds is having the best equates to dollar signs. This does not have to be the case for you. With just the right information and tips, you can have the best for less! Here are some great ways to save money for your wedding.

Set reasonable expectations. Don't get caught up in having the "perfect wedding". Every item doesn't have to be glitz and gleam. There is no need to spend a lot on a table centerpiece, passing decorations or aisle decor. Identify items that just have to be a good fit, yet at the same time, reasonably priced.

Let your family and friends help. People you know may in fact be great choices to provide the wedding services you need, which will help save money too. From a photographer to catering, check your friends and family list. You are bound to know someone personally that will work. If they don't, they may know someone who has the skills you are looking for and still get a great deal. Family and friends may also help as a wedding gift to you. Go direct. Go to a local printing company or order online to save costs on your invitations. Wedding invitation specialists may end up taking away too much of your budget.

Get a better bridal gown on a budget. Check renting and the thrift shop before going out to find a gown. You may be surprised at what you find. If you take the time, you can find a steal. Even with minor alterations, you will still end up saving money!

Think twice about the limousine. Getting a limousine looks good, however, it is not necessary. Most of your memories will not have anything to do with the short limousine drive to the reception or airport. Therefore, have a friend drive you and avoid this expenditure.

Shop around for flowers. Make sure you shop around for your wedding flowers. You desire the best flowers available, however, you do not have to spend too much on this aspect of your wedding. You want to stretch your budget and spend it most on the areas of the highest priority to you. This is an area you can save in. Get estimates from several florists and inform them you are price shopping, which will aid them in providing you with the best price. Also, inquire if the florist has a minimum budget requirement.

With these tips, you are sure to save money for your wedding! As a bride, you can not just get your flowers anywhere. You need a florist that has the expertise to create the stunning wedding bouquets and wedding floral decor you are looking for. Peachtree Petals can design the elegant wedding floral arrangements you deserve and does not have a minimum budget requirement. Peachtree Petals has its' very own Atlanta floral wedding consultant to offer first-hand floral expertise to make sure you have the best wedding flowers. Average Wedding Costs For 2012 Increased Including Wedding Flowers!

Weddings are one the most important events of a person's life. Along with giving birth, it holds one of the dearest places in our hearts. Many take great delight in their weddings and will invest the money it takes to make sure their experience is most memorable. Last year wedding cost numbers have showed this to definitely be true, and it's still a high priority for the bride and groom.

The average cost of a wedding in 2012 was a staggering $28,400 reported CNNMoney. TheKnot.com conducted an annual survey of 17,500 couples for the numbers. This is the highest amount for wedding costs since the economic downturn in 2008. The survey showed that expenditures increased in every wedding category, from locations to wedding flowers. "Couples are a little bit more comfortable and able to splurge a little bit more," said TheKnot director Anja Winikka.

Although slow, a better economy resulted in less people in the survey stating it had a negative effect on their wedding plans. Only 26% reported the economy impacted their wedding, opposed to 29% in 2011. The percentage last year is almost 10% less than 2009, which was at 34%. Cost per person spending went up to $204, which is $10 higher than 2011. Spending on pre-wedding meals and dinners increased also. "A lot of couples are having stateside destination weddings," Anja said. "Their friends and family live all over the place. They are planning these three-day weekend events."

Many wedding costs increased and the survey provided a breakdown of those prices. Wedding photography went up from $2,229 in 2011 to $2,379 last year. Videography increased to $1,619 in 2012, which was at $1,486 in 2011. Also, the amount spent on a wedding florist and decor went up to $1,997, which is almost $100 more than in 2011. "They consider it no longer this total splurge, but rather something they feel they need," Winikka said.

From wedding bouquets and wedding boutonnieres, to wedding centerpieces and decor, Peachtree Petals is able to meet all of your floral needs.
